The WPX-1 system is a drop in replacement for the Genicom 3410XCQ printer for Westinghouse WDPF applications.  The serial interface cable that previously connected to the rear of the Genicom printer connects to the Translator unit via the provided adapter cable.  The inkjet printer is connected to the Translator using the provided 6ft printer cable.  The translator is powered using a 120VAC wall adapter and the printer is powered via a standard 2-conductor 120VAC plug.  The translator can be located anywhere within the 6-ft cable length from the printer.  Once set up, access to the translator for normal operation is not required.
