The WPX-1 system is a drop-in replacement for the Genicom 3404, 3410XCQ, and 3850 impact printer.  The WPX-1 system has a user selectable configuration for wide printing for screen images or compressed mode that allows 132 characters across an 8 ½ x 11 portrait page.

Translator Specification:
